BASE OIL STORAGE
Feoso Malaysia has a total of 24 storage tanks of sizes ranging from 17 MT to 1750 MT storage capacities. Total storage capacity is 10,000 MT.
Base oils in bulk are pumped directly to the storage tanks from vessels at the jetty via a dedicated pipeline. Base oils can be pumped directly into road tanker or vice versa.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
API STANDARD
The American Petroleum Institute (API) sets minimum requirement of performance standards for lubricants. Engine oil may be composed of lubricant base stock only in the case of non-detergent oil, or a lubricant base stock plus additives to improve the oil’s detergency, extreme pressure performance and etc.Engine oil which has been tested by API would display the API Service Symbol (the “Donut) and Certification Mark “Starburst”. Performance requirements, test methods, and limits are cooperatively established by vehicle and engine manufacturers, including Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Chemistry Council and American Petroleum Institute (API).
